Northern Ireland Registry of Self-Harm Annual Report 2018-2019 and summary report 2019-2020
The Self-Harm Registry collects data from hospital Emergency Departments across Northern Ireland in relation to attendances due to self-harm and/or thoughts of self-harm/suicide.
The purpose of the Registry is to improve understanding about self-harm and related behaviours. The information gathered is used to monitor trends and patterns over time and, most importantly, help shape the development of services and support to meet the needs of people who self-harm.
The 2018 - 2019 Annual Report includes detailed analysis at Trust level and follows a similar format to previous annual reports. The 2019/20 report is a briefer regional summary.
