HSC R&D Division’s draft strategy consultation launched
The Health and Social Care Research and Development (HSC R&D) Division of the Public Health Agency (PHA) wishes to advise that the consultation on the draft HSC R&D strategy A Strategy for Health & Social Care Research and Development in Northern Ireland has been launched today.
The consultation will be open until 5pm on Friday 02 January 2015.
Research and development in health and social care is always important. However, it is particularly vital at this time of extreme financial pressures that the best possible, evidence-based and cost effective diagnoses, treatments and services are developed for service users and the public in Northern Ireland and beyond.
Northern Ireland has world leading researchers in health and social care who are in a position to deliver on this important agenda within a supportive policy environment.
We would encourage all those involved in this important area to respond to this consultation. The draft strategy and response pro forma can be found on the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety (DHSSPS) website here
Following the consultation, the DHSSPS will make a decision on the way forward, taking into consideration the responses received.
For more information about the consultation please contact Dr Janice Bailie, Assistant Director HSC R&D Division, Public Health Agency, Tel: 028 9536 3490 or Email: janice.bailie@hscni.net
