How to secure NIHR grant funding
On 26-27 February 2015, HSC R&D Division, in conjunction with NIHR Evaluation, Trials and Studies Co-ordinating Centre (NETSCC), will run two Northern Ireland regional workshops for researchers interested in applying to NETSCC-managed research programmes.
As Chief Investigators, Northern Ireland researchers can compete with colleagues from across the UK for prestigious NIHR funding. The aim of these workshops is to provide researchers with an insight into leading, building and delivering successful applications.
The meeting should be attended by researchers who are likely to lead proposals to NETSCC research programmes in the next 2-3 years, ie have a clear track record in the delivery of high quality research and ideally have a research idea in development. Places will be limited and so we recommend that you register an expression of interest as soon as possible.
We plan to run the workshop in the Belfast area, and at another location which will depend upon the level of interest expressed.
To register your interest, please email Michael Cunningham at Michael.cunningham@hscni.net. If you would like to attend the workshop at a location outside Belfast, please indicate your preferred location.
Proposed sessions are:
- Programme Remit: Getting it Right
- NETS Application Success Rates: The Reality
- Hints and Tips on delivering success
- The Lifecycle of a Research Idea
- Shaping a Proposal: Present your own Research Idea
