You, your child and drugs
This leaflet provides advice and guidance for parents on how to approach the issue of illegal drugs with their children. It highlights the influence that parental attitudes towards drugs can have on children, outlines the risks of taking drugs, and offers tips for talking to your child about drugs and establishing boundaries. It also lists signs to look out for that might suggest a child is experimenting with drugs, gives advice on what to do in an emergency and directs parents to sources of further information.
Copies of the leaflet are available via the DACT Connections services and health improvement/promotion in your local Trust.
